Deliverance.

Most horror movies don't scare me as I don't believe in the paranormal at all so they has no effect on me but Deliverance is based on true events and it just freaked me out the first time I saw it.

Great movie though.

I first saw Freddy, 'Nightmare 3' when I was around 8 or 9 and just loved him straight away. Actually if I remember right, I was afraid of Freddy before I saw him as a friend who was older told me about the movies and the image I created of Freddy in my head was far more terrifying than the real Freddy.

I remember loving getting scared watching horror films as a kid, really feeling the fear. The first Freddy film got me. Proper scared. & John Carpenter's Prince of Darkness. But these days just can't feel the fear.

I remember when I was 13, one night a friend & I decided to rent a couple of films. We dIdn't know anything about them, I'd seen props photos in a special effects magazine. Pair of us left freaked out after we sat through Jacob's Ladder, totally didn't know what to make of what we'd watched. We decided not to dwell on it & just forget it while watching the next film......."it can't be as weird as what we just watched" ...... & so we sat down to wash away the weird with...... William Burroughs's the Naked Lunch.

I don't find horrors scary. I mostly think they are just so unrealistic it's impossible for them to have any impact on me.

The likes of Schindlers List, Sleepers, American History X and Shawshank Redemption were all tough watches, with Shawshank being the only one with any light at the end of the tunnel.

That's what makes it great cinema. It's such a brutal scene to watch and probably one of the most memorable of modern cinema.

Any of you heard of a movie called 'A Serbian Film'?

Not technically a horror film but apparently it's the most horrific film ever made.

I read about it before and I have a mate who saw it and he says he wasn't right for months after watching it. He told me the plot and I can honestly say I never want to see it.

I won't post details of the plot on here because I could be risking a ban but you can check it out for yourselves.

'A Serbian Film' Be warned, check it out at your own risk!!

I know. My mate described it in detail and I just didn't want to hear anymore. I love looking at shock videos as I'm fascinated by the darkness of the human mind and there are few things I can't watch but I will never watch that film. I'm disturbed by just knowing what it's about.

Sorry for making you Google it

I read about it before and I have a mate who saw it and he says he wasn't right for months after watching it. He told me the plot and I can honestly say I never want to see it.

I won't post details of the plot on here because I could be risking a ban but you can check it out for yourselves.

'A Serbian Film' Be warned, check it out at your own risk!!

Of course I had to go and google it Safe to say I will never be watching that! Reading the reviews online describe it as the nastiest most horrific film ever made. Saw some spoilers I don't know how anyone could watch that.

I know. My mate described it in detail and I just didn't want to hear anymore. I love looking at shock videos as I'm fascinated by the darkness of the human mind and there are few things I can't watch but I will never watch that film. I'm disturbed by just knowing what it's about.

Sorry for making you Google it "

I googled it & read the plot on wiki. Even reading it was horrendous, how could anyone sit through that, let alone film it or even fund it?!?!

I'm all against censorship......unfortunately.

"Any of you heard of a movie called 'A Serbian Film'?

Not technically a horror film but apparently it's the most horrific film ever made.

You'd need a very sick mind to even think of them scenes That should be banned in fairness.

Waterford

I'm all for freedom of expression and artistic license so I can't object to such a film being made and I don't agree with censorship. As long as the story is portrayed with consenting actors and not putting anyone, adult or child, in any harm or risk, then I'm ok with it being made. I'm not being forced to watch it and have the freedom to not watch it if I choose not to.
