  this has turned into a real Colm Meaney & Roddy Doyle love in..
I'll tell a secret though... 
Roddy taught in Greendale community school right next to where the snapper was filmed, the house even backed onto the school...
But Roddy was great for writing downfunny smart comments that were made during classes.. Yep had him teaching me for my leaving cert.

in the Snapper Colm Meany character goes up to the bar to celebrate Sharons baby birth says to the ol fella beside him "7 pounds 6 ounces eh".. the old fella says "is that a baby or a turkey" Colm looks confused and say "its a baby of course" the ol fella raises his eyebrows and say "good sized baby... small turkey though" LOL pure class :D |
