"Do you get a check up at your docs every 6 months, say heart check up, bloods etc etc or would you only bother when reach a certain age?"
At least you should have to do it once a year |

I have a medical condition which requires blood tests every six months so doctor does a general check at the time. I also get smear checks done regularly and sti tests. |

May I suggest MRI or 4D scan instead of mammogram? It's safer, breasts don't need to be squeezed  and to be honest better two of the above and more detailed than mammogram
