Would there be any interest in a Hertfordshire fab social?
Once things start opening up again maybe a few drinks and then whatever happens after that is up to you guys... |

. If you feel I am suitable and you are looking to organise a social in Hertfordshire like Cheshunt , Hoddesdon , Broxbourne , Waltham Cross then I would be interested as I not too far from these areas. |

Hello everyone,
We are looking into a way that we could set something up on the back of this post since the OP has now left the site.
To gauge interest and numbers it would be useful if people could let me know if a St Albans social would be of interest? Due to the current restrictions it would likely either be a park or a large pub with a garden. I'd then be happy to look at something more regular once the restrictions have eased.

Brilliant! Thanks to all of you who’ve replied.
Great to see this would be quite popular. I'll start looking at some places and be back with a meet location and time soon! Can't wait to see you all!
Given that we are now so close to “Freedom Day” I may wait until then so we know it's all above board. I'd hate to be responsible for an illegal gathering at the moment when we're so close!
Watch this space and if any of you have any suggestions about the location then let's hear them. |

Use to have a lot of fun with a lady who lived near Ware, mind you that was mid 80s!
She use to run a kissogram agency with her friend from Bishop. Often wondered what she'd be like if the scene had been as big back then as it is now?
Anyone think they might know her please do drop me a message as I'd love a catch up although I expect her husband won't approve!

This has been going on 18 weeks now and everybody's saying yes but nobody's putting down a date/venue.

So...having had a think about it (for too long I know...sorry) I was looking at the following for a relaxed social.
Date: 31st August 2021
Time: 7.30pm
Location: Ye Olde Fighting Cocks, 16 Abbey Mill Lane, St Albans, AL3 4HE.
Let me know if you intend on coming so I can gauge the numbers and speak to the venue but it would be great to see as many of you down there as possible. |

Well done for organising this social however I am guessing this is your first time organising a social.It’s not wise to give all the details you have given on a forum.Ideally you should create a thread saying the area and date and ask people to add to express their interest on your thread.When you have seen how many people are interested you should then make up a guest list preferably of equal numbers and send then a message of the exact location and telling them not let anyone else know the location.The way you have done it unfortunately you could have a lot of people turning up that you know nothing about.From my experience in attending the London socials the ladies that organise those would prefer that the people attending have at least been verified. |

That’s good it should be easier for you to control who is attending and also what sort of ratio you want or the venue can accommodate.When this thread started 18 weeks ago I express a interest in attending and mentioned the parts of Hertfordshire that I could attend.St Albans is a bit awkward for me so I will pass but I would like to wish you the best of luck with your social and hope all goes well for you and those attending. |

I thought the OP although no longer here was just offering a get together. Not organising a balanced specific social? If you put a date out and see who comes. I saw it as a come outta Covid social. No play so balance of men and women were irrelevant? |
