I’ll be heading down to Stratford for a week from Monday and staying near Olympic park as I’ve never been I was just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for places to eat or drink or maybe if anyone is local they would consider a social meet perhaps, many thanks in advance |

Head to Liverpool Street. Then a short walk to Shoreditch or Brick Lane. Hackney Wick is gentrified now and has plenty of places if you enjoy that vibe. I can only recommend these areas rather than specific places as I can't think of any specific venues. But Eataly in Liverpool Street is great for Italian whether you want to wander around for nibbles or a proper meal. Their gelato looks amazing which I promised myself I'd try. |

Hackney Wick is just over the canal from the Olympic park, there are several really nice places with outdoor seating and decent food. Otherwise Soho is a 20 minute ride on the Central Line. In Stratford itself is Mother Kelly's which specialises in craft beer. |
