The city social 8th October...

So after the success of the first social we have decided to do another.
The city social will be on the 8th of October in a bar in the Holborn area of London from 7pm till midnight.
The aim of the social is to get together with like minded people and have a jolly old time, good chat and get to know each other.
This social is open to couples, single men and Ladies.
It doesn't matter whether you have been to a social before you are more than welcome as the aim of the social is to meet new people.
Please be aware this social is held in a public bar and a none play event.
Feel free to chat on the thread to get to know one another but if you would like to attend please message the profile as ww will not put you on the list if you just comment on the thread.  |

That's a shame. I can keep you on the list for now if you like and let me know a bit closer to the time. I had forgotten the train strikes had been rescheduled for that weekend. I think it's only affecting the trains rather the tubes at the moment so fingers crossed. |

I travel on the Elizabeth line so part of TFL tube network and not considered as Overground... I think. But RMT rail workers are on strike so will the railway lines and signal workers being on strike affect services? |

Uurgh train strikes. I'm not sure if my line will have issues or not.
What's the latest we can leave a decision to? I don't want to miss out but also don't want to take up a space that someone could have if I can't get there |

OK I'm going to wait a few more days before I make any decisions and see what happens as there are currently productive talks apparently between Mike Lynch and the railways so we will leave it for now. |

OK for now I have completely closed the list to everybody.
I am looking at seeing if it's possible to change the date to the 22nd of October. Anybody who is on the list will get a message confirming what is happening
When I know the new date. When I know who can come I will reopen the list.
This is because it looks like the train strikes are going to be very difficult for many people to come. |

OK so You have made the decision to rearrange this for the 22nd October. If you are already on the list I will be sending you a message tomorrow to see whether you would like to attend or the 22nd. The 8th is now cancelled once I know numbers I will reopen all the lists. I'm going to ask The Mods to close this thread and will start another one The beginning of next week for anyone else who would like to be added. It's in the same venue just a different date. |
