Somewhere quite similar to here. I like the vast array of amenities but that it's more small town feel and friendly. I'm guessing Liverpool, Newcastle, the larger cities in Scotland or Wales (not Edinburgh or Cardiff). Definitely well north of the Watford gap. |

If you were to think of self care like a weapon collection, over the years I've developed an arsenal that would make an American 2nd amendment fanatic jealous.
I realised I was feeling lousy, gave myself time to figure out why. And grace, lots of grace and patience.
Once I climbed out, it's been feeling connected with others, a sense of joint experience and suffering. Helping them, letting them help me. It's been incredibly important.
Otherwise exercise, reading, writing, learning. I've been binging on virology but I'm not 100% sure that's helpful.

Entree: Liver pate with red onion chutney
Main: melt in the mouth lamb shank in a red wine and rosemary sauce, mash and peas with mint sauce

A trip to Disney Orlando I took with my mum and grandparents when I was little. We went to the theme parks and I got to see the stage production of the hunchback of notre dame at what was then MGM studios, for the first time.
I got to go on the (less scary) rides and my grandad took me to meet Micky mouse.
It was a great day, a great holiday actually, easily one of the happiest times I ever remember having. Memories with my family are always my happiest. |

You remember my bitchier, blunter days! Those were rather special weren't they? Heaven forbid anyone should have the audacity to disagree with me or challenge me. Or constantly attention seek.
Mellowed, yes of course. I'm not sure it can just be attributed to him though; I think it's a combination of factors, him, being happier in myself, doing well in life/work, surrounding myself with better people. And also growing the fuck up. That latter thing made a big difference. I am happier and more positive in myself. I mean sometimes people on here... old Meli would have had a field day. But now I think, what's the point? They are happy, I am. Leave them be. I can message people I care about then vesting energy into being negative with a random soul. |

I always sensed that I didn't quite fit into the world that was being presented to me as a child.. black and white, one dimensional, small minded. Once I figured out that is wasn't something wrong with me I somehow managed to adventure beyond the fence! |
