"I love walking and probably walk 30miles a week. I am no gym bunny but love being outside in the fresh air. My job is also physical which helps keep me slim. I also love swimming." That is good and swimming is also fun |

I use to go to the gym but because I got baker cyst on my left leg I was only able to do half the work out so I stop going
Now I like walking for about an hour a day I do sit up press up and strachers
Baker cyst is on my left leg at the knee area if i walk very fast ut hurts same if i try to run but trying to run when you have blind Caine is hard it also hurts if i am dancing with a sexy woman but i dint show the pain
I have to do stretchers 3 or maybe 4 times a day to ease the pain sone days are better than others |

My bench had to be decommissioned yesterday as it's near impossible to buy fitness equipment at the minute I'm gonna have have to wait till the gyms open again. So its dumbells exercises and cardio just till then. Definitely have to keep at it though because I'm a grump without exercise |

Yes shag
What I think you mean is
With the right attitude exercise can be not only holistically beneficial for body and mind but can be fun too
Obviously though only with the appropriate attitude it would be unrealistic to expect everyone to hold such a positive attitude it's also unfair to criticize people who are unable to achieve the positive outlook you enjoy |

Exercise is my drug, my therapy and my personal time. I try not to fall into the trap of preaching, cause it's not easy if you aren't wired like those that enjoy it but do believe there is exercise for everyone |

It's my new thing
Wandering randomly into a coed and navigating back
Love the rocky high peaks but the smell of the forest and solitude is fabulous |

Fantastic I love walking in the woods , so many here
Now a really fun time is get a good red headlamp and go at night .
The red light can't been seen by the forest animals and you can have the most wonderful time |

I love my bicycle
It's not about burning calories- its about how it makes me feel.
I find other forms of exercise on my feet difficult as I have flat feet.
And I don't really like other people that much so the bike is perfect |

"Help!
Can't keep the motivation going every day!
How can I sort my mind set out?
"
depends what you need motivating . I run every other day but only do sub 6km which for me is enough. I do it for me and I walk/run as needed, time is not an issue I just want to do it. My motivation is how good I feel and how I am changing, lost 2 chins already only 2 more to go lol. |

"If I don’t work out I feel shit. It’s very much my mental health “thing” "
Thank you and mine.
I was hoping someone who does workout on this thread, could give us some advice, on how to keep motivated every day!
But....... |

I remember training for the London Marathon in 2013, one Sunday I went out for a 16 mile run.
Around 11 miles in, I was really feeling rough, too hot and heavy legs.
It was quite warm and the route only truly improved for the last few miles. But I had my iPod on, then the next track was Rocky theme, but not only the music but some inspirational words spoken, before it. And in the distance I knew I’d pass the reservoir on my left so I’d get a breeze to cool me down. I always planned a route that the last couple of miles would be easier, get the hills in first but that little bit of music and cooling down near water, changed my run in an instance.
I always remember it when I’m running, so I know you can push through negative thoughts or even your bodies limits at times.
But it’s certainly makes sense to have an end goal, something you are working towards.
Exercise is certainly fun |

I'm quite new to exercising so not sure if I'm the best person to be giving you advice. But I've found that my biggest motivator is just the knowledge that I'm doing something good for my body. Even though I don't like the exercise I can't deny how good I feel after and how much my mood is improved. Even if you don't have a goal to work towards to keep you motivated, just think about how you are showing your body respect and thanking it for keeping you going by giving it what it needs. |

Whole raft of books out there trying to encourage exercise. Which I find are useless.
The majority of runners will tell you lacing up your trainers and walking out the door is the hard bit, running a route afterwards is far easier.
But a long walk is exercise, walking up the stairs instead of getting the lift, hoovering
I joined a running club, that truly was the easiest way to keep regularly training, meeting other people in the same situation was a great motivator.

I suggest making it a happiness goal or a stress relief. Finding something you love is a big one for me. X |

Is it a good idea to have set times of the day/evening...

I use to run, salsa dance, zumba.
Feet have given in...
So home-bound for the moment.
I have an excercise plan to suit my physical side! It's just the mindset fails me after a few days....
Maybe I'm distracted by other things around me at home! |

London/Essex... ish... Romford to be exact |
"im back in work now but find it hard to get motivated .
any tips ???" Try doing HIIT. It is short so won't take up much of your day and there are many online vids on YouTube. Or go for a walk before your lunch or your first meal of the day so you are doing fasted cardio to help fat burn. It's about developing that initial routine which develops into a habit afterwards. |
