I've done family past and present now time for friends
All my friends are outstanding in one way or another but a couple of them need a special mention
A school friend of mine has just received the news that he is clear of cancer after being told over twos years ago he had 50/50 chance of survival ...I thinks that astonishing that he kept his cool and fought to get to this point
Tell about the amazing things your friends have done or do that make you proud |

The latest friend I have made deserves a medal. Not only does it feel like she's at one with my own mind but she's also turned me from a sheltered opinionated idiot into a very open-minded and tolerant man. She's also given me an appetite for giving most things a go that I never ever thought I would and made me a calmer person in general. She is beautiful inside and out and regardless where we end up in years to come, I have made a lifelong friend. |

A friend of mine died a few years ago but he leaves a legacy I drive past often. For years he pestered the council about a corner plot of waste land that used to be a pub and was just a big mess of overgrown bushes . Eventually they allowed him to buy it , he designed and built 4 houses , he and his wife and small kids lived onsite in a caravan for 6 months while building them. Two of the houses were designed specially adapted for wheel chairs and were given to disabled people for cost , one was sold to fund the project & they lived in the last house until he died which was huge with 2 self contained flats in the attic and they took in homeless people and others struggling and looked after them. Everyone locally refers to the block as (his name)’s block |

I've seen my bestie today. Kindest human being I know. Incredibly intuitive, supportive and uplifting. I could go on. Her charity work and quite thoughtfulness continue to amaze me and I am in awe of her.

My best friend who passed away in her early 30's. She taught me how to do the job I do now. She also taught me how to be a good person even though you're hurting and in fear. She will never ever be forgotten |
