I love eggs whether scrambled, in an omelette, a sandwich or a salad (I do check the cholesterol from time to time).

I was talking to a friend who said she stopped getting eggs for a bit until this bird flu issue goes away. Does that worry anyone? Have you stopped getting/eating them. I haven't but have you?

We have our own hens, so we've not stopped eating them. Why would you stop eating eggs because of bird flu? If everyone did that they'd all get culled as it wouldn't be worth keeping them surely?

I am not sure to be honest. I think she was worried about itand possible transmission deslite the miniscule risk. Btw, I am envious about you having your own hens. If I could, I would too.

Pretty much the only breakfast that doesn't give me heartburn. Get a semi for a perfect runny egg n all.

You can't catch bird flu through eating fully cooked eggs though. You'd have to be in contact with an infected bird or their bedding etc.

Check the NHS website for further information

thanks. I am happy to carry on eating them. It's her perogative what she does I suppose. I am sure she read all that but she was still worried about it and more about handling them I think from what I could gather. I think she wanted reassurance from me. All I could say did say was that I am still buying and eating them and will carry doing so until some expert advises strongly against it.

They definitely are and very versatile. I do watch how many I eat though as are not good for your cholesterol

Nope will continue as I enjoy a boiled egg in the morning to dip my toast in at times an egg sandwich seasoned or just an omelette.

Eggs and potatoes have to be the 2 ultimate foods in terms the amount of things you can turn them into
