Yep we’re definitely well & truly post-truth, what matters most is how something makes you feel , not whether it’s true. Politicians and press know this, they make stuff up that makes you feel exactly the way they want you to feel, and they know you’ll forgive them when they get caught because you also don’t care much for the truth anymore |

Yep we’re definitely well & truly post-truth, what matters most is how something makes you feel , not whether it’s true. Politicians and press know this, they make stuff up that makes you feel exactly the way they want you to feel, and they know you’ll forgive them when they get caught because you also don’t care much for the truth anymore "

Probably the exact thought of the man who disrespected tyson on a flight and regretted it. Thinking if it was being filmed he could say what he wanted and be safe so long as he wasn't violent.

There’s definitely a difference between people saying things they believe to be true but are in fact false, and those that purposely lie. Unfortunately, social media creates echo chambers that bolster people’s existing beliefs and prejudices and then take what is often false information that they believe and want to be true and that supports their opinions and repost it elsewhere. It’s George Orwell’s Ministry of truth in a far more insidious form. |
