I tend to start after bonfire night. I do like doing christmas shopping when its festive and the shops are decorated

Sorted!!!!!! Just one small pressie left to buy. Cards are written (off to post the ones for "down under" this morning), Gifts are wrapped and tagged, and currently stored in my mother's loft. Booze bought (BTW - Tesco are selling litre bottles of whisky, rum, bacardi, vodka for £14 this week!!!) First batch of Christmas cakes are marzipaned and will be fondant iced later today. (Seven down, five to go, lol). After the weekend I will put the decorations up and then I can chill out, watch gooey films and spend my time visiting friends and family and enjoying the season.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

I do not believe in gifting just at Christmas, birthdays and anniversaries.

Throughout the year, if I see something I know someone would appreciate, I would buy it for him/her, and give it out when I see him/her next.

Started back In August.. I tend to purchase 2 or 3 presents every week end from August.. That way it doesn't seem so much of chore. I find it more enjoyable being able to choose presents that way.. It's not a case of spending a whole week end buying all the presents with a week to go and then thinking.. My god when I am going to wrap these!!

We start buying presents when the money we save with my Mum every month goes into our account...around the first week in December.

They're usually being wrapped by me while Sarah does the food shop on Christmas Eve !

I do the majority of my christmas shopping online

Can sit of an evening watching tv and ordering on the laptop then a couple of days later the nice postman brings me my goodies Happy Days

The problem with buying too early is when kids change their mind once you've already bought their stuff

I do like to go out with my sister a couple of weeks before and pick up all the silly little stocking fillers tho.

This week is extreme cleaning week - next week is painting and diy week and then the tree and decs go up and panto and party season starts!

Woo hoo
