Authorities in Cumbria, which was once part of Scotland, are warning that poisonous adders are out and about in the Whitehaven area and very close to the Seascale train station.
Dog walkers are at risk and even the dogs themselves, however Stay Safe Peoples
This is all over the news |

1) if you ever use those first 10 words again, you will cause a diplomatic incident…. The Cumbrian liberation front will come for you with their sheep!
2) if it’s snakes around seascale you probably won’t miss them for having 3 heads and a visible neon glow!!! |

I'd rather if we still were a part of Scotland |

I live in Cumbria, and this is the first I’ve heard of it.
And…..”once part of Scotland”? I’ve never heard anyone ever describe Cumbria as such…
I went to college in Camulodunum, have many fond memories of the town |

Adders are not poisonous. They're venomous.
A poisonous animal can only do you harm if you eat it.
As for where they are, I doubt it'll come as much of a surprise to the locals. Sounds about right to me.
When I was a wee nipper, there used to be Adders on land behind my primary school and on hot days they used to bask on the perimiter of the playground. Similar sort of land to where this is being reported - coastline.
We have them all along the Essex coastline Tom |

Don’t bother, Tom knows exactly what he’s posting and what the difference is- he just like to sit under his bridge and giggle at the crazy mayhem he creates |

"Two dogs have been attacked by aggressive adder snakes on Benfleet in Essex this week. It's only a matter of time before a dog is killed and possibly even devoured by these serpents.."
Um…. Adders are a natural species to the uk… dogs are not! |

But you would also know that adder’s rarely bite… they will only do so if provoked, (trodden on, picked up) and the snake actually isn’t classed as being especially dangerous….. |

They're common on the North Yorkshire moors nothing really to worry about unless you've got a heart condition. Their bite is like a really bad bee sting.
Just if you see one don't disturbed them like most animals when they get pissed off they'll strike or a bit like nurses and teachers at the moment |
