For me? Doing disciplinaries. I’ve got one going on at the moment and it pisses me off that I’m put in a situation where I have to be ‘the bad guy’ because of someone else’s actions. |

Working outside in freezing weather and rain
Working for free going to measure up for quotes ect
Always having to answer phone
The odd time you do get that nightmare customer, one bloke I had sleepless nights for weeks with rage
When you balls up the pricing and job costs you (thankfully learned lesson after a few times with this) |

Cutting down dead bodies, dealing with slashers, being assaulted, having no support from management, being surrounded by incompetent snowflakes whose sense of self entitlement is enormous.
And the winner is...management. |

At least you seem to do the right thing and turn up. I had nightmares recently trying to get quotes for some jobs needing doing. |

"People who still haven’t got their head around mute/unmute etiquette. "
You'd hate me then
I spent 15 mins basically playing a game of charades with Mr on WhatsApp video last week cause I couldn't find the right remote for the tele.
It culminated in him calling me a dolly bastard and questioning his breeding choices. |

Explaining over and over why such and such needs to be done in a certain way, or no, you can't do that because, and people do the slow blink blank look followed by the eye roll.
My job is very complex and few people do it. Even less understand it. Therefore they think it's not important and can ignore it.
Makes me wanna scream on a daily basis. |

Part and parcel. I’ve learnt to take all emotion out of it, it did take me many years though! It’s still never nice. Hope you’re feeling more positive OP.

Clients, who have been in the job for years and years but still ask the same question month in, month out, that they should know the answer to if they worked in the industry, asking once or twice I can ignore but to have to answer literally the same question over and over really pisses me off. Either go and get some qualifications specific to the job and industry or remember the answer last time you asked.
And I know exactly why they ask, so in the extremely rare occurrence there are any issues they can straight away say they asked and he said “x” so they can point fingers and pass the buck. |

In a management or leadership role, this is without doubt the worst part of the job assuming you’ve a good soul.
Some thrive on the power and playing God, whereas others such as yourself and myself absolutely hate the concept of holding the career of others in your hands; even when they’ve obviously done wrong.
An old mentor of mine preached to me that “the minute you enjoy firing, you should start looking for something else to do”; he’s never been proved wrong in my experience! |

I don’t mind them , some people just need a shock and second chance.
I dislike mandatory compliance training , it’s like there’s something almost every week now.

Checking my colleagues work as she makes mistakes all the time.
Why they employ her is beyond me. It would be quicker and more cost effective for me to do just do it in the first place.

Yeah this dude has put us in a place where we realistically have no choice but to discipline. It’s an easy decision to make as a result, but still feel crappy about it. |

I understand and firing someone is never nice and agree if you enjoy or get a kick out of it your in the wrong role.
However the way I look at it is.
I did not put you in this position, you put yourself here by your actions/lack of actions. To be at the point of being fired he/she has either comitied gross misconduct or been through a build up process (minor discretions leading to warning after warning).
Either way it their own actions that have led to them being where they are. As my old manager said to me many years ago, if you want to earn the big bucks you have to put the big boy pants on and do the big boy jobs. |

Getting up at 5, snakey underhand behaviour from colleagues, and clients wanting a miracle but not wanting to pay for adequate time.
Oh and people who barge past when you explain a toilet is blocked and being seen to, and proceed to add to the unholy mess. - Xeno |

"Discrimination, Lying hypothetical managers and work colleagues that will sell you out for a penny and push you under a bus to leave 30 minutes earlier or for overtime. "
Been there done that.
It was even worse during covid. |

I’ve recently taken a job in Reading with a company I wanted to work for a long time, I’ve made the biggest mistake of my life, you get spoken down to by staff members, when I speak up, I get told I’m being too direct, thank god I’m in my probation I only have to give them 1 week notice and I made sure I told them that, can’t trust the team I’m working with, selfish, unhelpful, throw you under the bus kind of people. |

The high workload, high turnover of staff, the way our department gets the blame for holding up patients discharges even though we're waiting on the Doctor to prescribe the meds. Being expected to do other people's jobs even though we don't have adequate staff. Having to work weekends and bank holidays.... apart from that I enjoy my job lol |

"Being responsible for 30+ grown men who complain about the slightest thing!
I wish I could take spanking paddle to work!
I'm sure if you did, not many would complain. HR nightmare though"
I’d complain more to guarantee a spot on the spanking list… |

The bitching that goes on between the majority of staff.
Rude, entitled people who act like I'm a robot with no feelings, who's wholly responsible for the wrongdoings of the place I work for .
Being run ragged and doing the work of two people for min wage.
Being treated as if I'm lower class and lacking intelligence because I work in a supermarket .
