"What do you do when you just can’t sleep?
Browse online? Read a book? What’s your go to thing to do?"
I just get on with it.
It makes me smile how easily people claim the label of insomniac these days. Try 4 decades and let me know how you're coping. |

Please no. I've already had 2 decades of this. I will get on top of it. |

I tend to put an audiobook on with the volume quite low, it always helps me get back to sleep |

I'll tell you what gets me to sleep pretty reliably! I get one of those smart light bulbs and turn it on really low...
Then I set it to turn off slowly over say 5 minutes and I tell myself , "Right, I'm going to keep my eyes open until the light turns off."
I never make it |

Play then cum and finally I start thinking about something I really enjoyed or am looking forward to be it what I'm going to do next time I go away, what I would like to see and to be fair I just let my mind go hazy and then before I know it I'm asleep.
However, if it's the pinball in my head whizzing round, I try and ground myself. But to be fair, I generally just give up and be resigned to not sleeping that night. |

Peruse threads in the lounge, engage with random strangers - but obviously that keeps me awake. So then it's the News Agents podcast and as if by magic I am asleep. Only problem is that the voices carry on speaking. Need to find a way to stop the podcast so that my sleep can be deeper. |

Browse online but that only makes the situation worse ha.... listening to relaxing podcasts is good or even fairy tale stories....I used to do that....
I've had just 2 hrs sleep & I woke....nodded off on the sofa also way earlier for 2 hrs but still no where near enough sleep especially after partying all night last night....I could do with 10 hrs straight sleep tbh |

I’ll usually put a podcast on but with the volume turned pretty low, almost as background noise.
I find that works better than just random white noise and helps me drift off |

Depends, sometimes having a wank is enough.
These days a phone is more handy, more often than not reading the latest on UAP/UFO news. |
