Skoda Estelle. It was so uncomfortable but it just ran and ran and did what it said on the tin. Until it didn’t, of course. I do remember having to call out the AA twice because I had locked my keys in the car! Fond memories of that car and driving around Kent.

UYO 697S - A Honda CG125 that barely started, barely stopped once it did start, mangled an ankle, and was the gateway to other, bigger adventures in London and nationally once it got me through my test, on another 'bike (H741 AKL - GT550, Kawasaki).

That was when life started showing real promise. UYO was a shit 'bike, but it gave a whole world to me. It loved me more than I loved it.

BRIDPORT

At 16 I bought a Yamaha FS1E 50, pre restricted 1976 R plate.

Lots of noise, lots of blue smoke but it went like the clappers, with a bit of down hill run and lead flat on the tank it did 60, not so good on the flat.
