Another question for your (assumed) favourite Long Haired Guy.

How the fuck, do I do a half up half down?

I just can't get it right and I end up getting the bobble knotted up.

Messy buns, I'm golden at by the way.

Clear sections.

Clip or bobble your bottom half while you sort the top half. Using a comb to section helps, otherwise you end up with bits of the top section on the down bit and vice versa

Make sure the top bit is well clear of the bottom bit. Hold it up and well away from the rest of your hair.

I have wavey hair so I use detangling combs / sprays.

Often have a beachy surf look.

I only know how to do it on another person, e.g. my child, but yes, using a comb and getting the bottom bit out of the way is the best way.
