My daughter is 12 so I've had 11 years to remember things like batteries. We always keep a box of AAs & AAAs in the house as we have quite a few remotes, door alarms etc etc etc.. fortunately, my daughter is now into things she can download - (iPods n stuff) so don't have to worry too much about batteries for a couple of years, then it all starts again with my son lol

you have to laugh

my mother bought a pack of 12 aa`s from the pound shop,

then had problems (they were all flat)

so decided to take them back for a refund lol

it cost her £2 for petrol and £3 for car parking. she still thinks they were a bargin

Dont buy them from normal retail outlets if you can help it.

look in your Yellow Pages for a "Battery Specialist".

We have one on our local Trading Estate and as well as the usual car battery and bike battery you can get special industrial Duracel ones too. I buy Silver Top Duracell AA and AAA for around 19p each. They come in boxes of 10, for less than £2, and are better than the standard copper top Duracel. Kate used to be Ann Summers Rep so got through these in vast numbers. Hope this helps xxx Jack

It wasnt batteries I forgot it was a blooming extention lead for the oldest kids PC!!!!

I have loads of rechargable batteries but forgot to get the extention lead and discovered today that the speakers need 2 sockets to themselves cos the plug is so big!! Hubby is off into town cursing me
