A subtle variation on this idea, that puts the emphasis on giving rather than receiving
State that you’re in on the thread, then at 8pm (or thereabouts) send someone or several people, a nice message. It can be long or short (size doesn’t matter, as we’re often told), it’s all about the intent.

If you see the thread again, it's worth joining in depending on your motive. If it's just to share some joy and good vibes and get some nice replies then you absolutely should join in - it's a good way to start to get to know people. I will always try to reply to the messages sent as part of this thread - use the reply privately option to mark it as part of the thread.
If you're just using it as a way to slide into DMs it tends to be obvious. |
