Alton Towers, Chester Zoo, Science museums. We went camping in year 7 but I can't remember where and had a residential trip to Anglesey in year 5 and 6.

Belfast

Only ever went on one in 1981 and it wasn't even for my year.

I went to London for a long weekend because there weren't enough teachers to legally travel with 26 first year students so I was asked to go along as a responsible 16 year old.

£45 for the ferry to Liverpool, train to London, 3 nights in a small hotel, a tour of the old Wembley, 2 shows in the West End Paul Daniels on Friday night and Rowan Atkinson on the Saturday as well as watching Spurs v Norwich at White Hart Lane when Mickey Hazard made his debut.

Delphy adventure centre county mayo Ireland.

It was basically a big cabin at the time in a very barron beautiful place.

Still remember well.

Amazing that just getting away for a weekend in your youth can be so much fun and how the memories stay with you
