Do fab take scammers seriously. Asking for a friend who can't post in the forums. The woman in context scammed few hundred from him

As far as fab goes. They’ll be blocked/removed, and then free to setup another profile.

If anyone starts asking for ££ on fab or any app .... block ....

The more subtle ones will manipulate the victim into them offering money rather than asking.

"Romance" scam is a fraud and too often we blame victims ... when it's the perpetrators who are highly manipulative and use their victims vulnerabilities and hopes to scam money out of them.

"Define scam?"
asking money to meet, get her fuel to meet and then never does. Tries saying she needs help when a family dies but never died. Pay for a caravan which her friend owns an when you go there's no reservation and she's blocks you on fab and other communication ways

You must be sensible on here, just like any other platform. People are arseholes. We all know this.

They manipulate emotionally weak people and so on. It happened to one of my friends.

Oof.

How'd she get that much out of him?

I hope your friend has at least learned some valuable lessons.

Sounds far too trusting and if anyone asks for £ to meet it should be a massive red flag and needs reporting.

Hiya

But why be gullible to part with money, obviously the intentions were that it was done purely on the basis that something was going to be gained from it?

This.

Any requests for money/reward should be reported. Admin look at all reports and act accordingly.

Equally the onus is on people to use common sense and not respond to such requests.
