Using my phones own emoticons to use on this site comes out as Punctuation marks

Does anyone else have this problem??

It definitely doesn't work in posting reviews for clubs

I'm using Gboard™ (Google's own keyboard), which you can download.

The emojis work fine. (I assume you mean emoji and not emoticon, which isn't the same thing)
