There's safety from an anonmyity point of view - in which case I'd potentially say Wickr. If something goes wrong, then you can delete and block and they have no way of tracking you.
But for personal safety and 'real life' situations, I would argue in favour of Whatsapp - sure, you will be giving up privacy, but there will also be a 'paper trail' back to anyone who causes undue trouble. |

Good point but giving out number? Screenshots of photos sent? Screen recording?
Ideally we’d like disappearing photos with no chance of screen recording or screen snaps of photos etc. guess there is no one size fits all x

Not gonna happen, basically. It's incredibly easy to circumvent such protections. Some apps promise this but they're either lying or morons. |

Telegram got outed as not secure and the others have T&C’s that would make the Chinese communist party proud. |
