Since I was 13 I'd always wanted to be a fireman. Had a ridiculously healthy life style, no drinking smoking or fast foods, gym 5 times a week. Went through all the training and applications... and then got told that you can't be a fireman if you're colour blind. So now I have no idea  |

Majorly :/ I'd like to run a small business. This would require large sums of money which I don't have however! Happy plodding along at my current job, but feel like I need more ambition than waiting for pay day each month haha x |

Depends on the level of colourblindness, and the role you are looking to take.... Have a serious word with your local station chief.... If you are serious, dont take no for an answer....till you have to....
Certain levels/ colours may be acceptable...
Live the dream... Till you have to wake up....

I have red/green colour deficiency which was apparently a big no when applying to become a fireman. Plus, I lead a pretty unhealthy lifestyle now. I'd need to know for sure if I could get it before I was willing to give up my bad habits |
