How do you eat yours? I like mine well toasted so they have a crunch with lots of Lurpak spread on them. Toppings can vary, but today it is honey.

Toasted then salted butter. Enough butter that it runs down your chin when you bite into it

Always a double blast. Ideally grill but cannot be bothered with that!

I'm going to have one later with butter.

Sometimes I have melted cheese or jam on them.

A den in the Glen

Warburtons only with Lurpak only.

A little bit crunchy with enough butter to stain my clothes. If on the rare occasion there is no Lurpack, Dairy Lee spread.

If the crumpets are served with hash Browns. Even better.

The Deep Dark Woods

If having them plain I like them very crunchy and piled with butter.

But I also love a cheesy crumpet or a pizza crumpet where I will spread some tomato puree or tapenade or pesto as a base, cheese, sliced mushrooms, jalapeños, some ham or salami and herbs then bang them in the air fryer 🤤

Somewhere In The Ether…

Just butter spread thickly upon mine; I love the way it melts into the crumpet and the greasy goo slides down the throat.

Crispy on the outside, soft in the middle, too much salted butter, the briefest smear of Marmite.

Juuust short of burnt on the bottom, crispy on top, so much butter you have to mop it off the plate, preferably with bacon on top.

Armadillo as above. With butter, maybe honey, or melted cheese.

Sometimes I make cute little pizzas, if I’m feeling fancy.
