"Hey, I’m in London for one night only on the 11th of March. Any recommendations for fun places."
Depends on your idea of fun.
Camden lock.
Borough Market.
Sir John Soanes museum.
Battersea Power Station and Lift 109 of course.
Enjoy your trip, always plenty to do in London.
We're ticking off a "100 things to see in London" book at the moment.

I was in London 2 weeks ago, did all of the above apart from the Sir John museum, but I went to the top of the Shard, visited Harrods, and the Natural History Museum as well |

Oh love it there. Was closed for ages. I didn't realise it was open again. Excellent! |

Another vote for the Shard and Natural History Museum. We prefer Fortnum and Masons to Harrods.
Also adding in lunch on the Sonborn in Docklands, breakfast in Terrys cafe and chip shop dinner in Fishcotech near Waterloo Station.

"Might be meeting a friend in London Friday evening. Is it a dickhead thing to hope they sort out what we'll do or where we'll go?!
If they live there, no. If not, yes 😝
"
Welp, I'm a dickhead.
(They work there! But live about the same distance from London than I do. And used to live in London!) |

If they used to live there then that would put them in the first category, so I'd say you're not one |

Which is just you being nice. It's definitely lazy on my part if nothing else. |

What makes you think I feel the need to be nice to you? 😝
In your situation, I'd do the same, so I don't think it's a dickhead. Yes it's lazy, but I'm lazy too, so I can't judge it negatively |

"Just wanted to thank everyone for their replies.
What have you decided to do whilst in London ??
Definitely museums, fancy the Chard too, I will have to see"
Might I suggest, rather than The Shard, 20 Fenchurch Street, also know as "The Walkie Talkie" building. It's almost as high, but across the river from The Shard, so you get a view of said building. It was also free to go up to the top! |

I love just walking around London looking at the buildings, the architecture and learning about the different landmarks. It my favourite city far nicer than NY or LA |
