Inspired by an interaction on another thread and in the spirit of Shrove Tuesday, what's your favourite topping for pancakes?

1) lemon and sugar - classic

2) strawberries and ice cream

3) syrup/honey

4) crispy bacon and sauce

5) chocolate spread (with or without strawberries/cherries/other fruit of choice

6) whipped cream and fruit coulis

7) salmon and broccoli in a creamy sauce

8) something else, but tell me what please!

Happy tossing!

Either the classic, or strawberries with chocolate sauce 🫠

The other week I had a savoury crepe with an egg, cheese, and ham and that was banging.

I'm sorry about that! I was trying to include savoury suggestions for people without a sweet tooth.

What topping/filling would make it all better? 🥞

I actually prefer savoury pancakes. Scallion pancakes, spinach and ricotta, ham and cheese, creamy chicken and mushroom, eggs benedict pancakes 🤤

I have to say, lemon and sugar is my personal favourite, but other people's favourites are also very tempting!

Ohhhhh! Lime could work really well. Now I'm thinking a lime flavoured cheesecake type filling......maybe a hint of ginger, too......
