are in your set. Inspired by another thread, how large is your cutlery and crockery set, 6 of each, 12, 24 or what. And to give Mrs NC am opportunity to reply, does it include bitter knifes, cheese knives, serving spoons, soup tureens and such like, all matching?

We have a dinner and tea service that is becoming more and more depleted with each broken plate. RIP one more tea plate two days ago. There are serving dishes with lids, gravy boat, those little bowls with two handles that I'm never sure if they're chocolate cups or soup bowls. It either needs replacing altogether or I should source replacement items.

One set of Harlequin dinner plates.

One set of cutlery for every day use and decent canteen for 'special ' occasions.

Bitter knives.

No fish knives.

Two sets of cake forks.

Several cake slices and other miscellaneous cutlery items that my mum passed on to me and I rarely if ever use.

I have a hodgepodge of various crockery and cutlery sets that have been broken/lost over the years. All the components are present in different numbers, like about 8 plates, but only 3 bowls.

Let's see if anyone can beat that. Cutlery wise, the everyday ones for me are a few from two or three different sets but have the 'posh' ones that is a full set of everything for 12. Same with crockery but have broken on or two so not 12 of each but almost. Yes I have those soup dishes too you mentioned. Actually are used a lot. Ibalso have the other type of soup dish that are hardly ever used. The only tome really everything gets used these days is xmas if that.

^^ we never use all of our stuff now. If we get new it'll probably be a six place setting at most. The cutlery will see us out I suspect.

Hmmm... Random!

Cutlery: 8 settings, including 2 serving spoons. Plus an assortment of 'acquired' teaspoons, 2 sets used for camping and a 4 set also for camping.

Various other stuff, including butter knives from my grandma's house.

And now some kids cutlery and plane cutlery to attempt to add less to my mouth eat forkful!

Crockery: 6 place settings of white china; 8 settings of posh Denby which has never left the boxes.

And now small side plates which I eat from, again to limit size of meals.

Mugs: far too many, but I love them. But they have to be big mugs, none of those standard 3 gulp mugs most people have!! 🤭🤭

And I wonder why my flat is crowded - I absolutely have toooooo much STUFF!!!

Oh! And I also have some very expensive cup/saucer/tea plate combos that my aunt and uncle gave to me (well, initially, they tried to sell them to me 😳🙄) Wedgwood/Royal Doulton type stuff

I doubt I'll ever use it, but...

I don't know exactly how many I have of each as there's always some piling up in bedrooms.

All of my crockery is now odds and sods, as I'm prone to dropping them and replacing with cheap ones from Asda.

I have a new cookware set I can't use because they're too heavy, so I only use one small saucepan from it.

I do have a full steak knife and fork cutlery set- 4 of each.

I've been thinking of binning the lot and starting over.

I did think that. They might as well be used it seems sacrilege to use Slide china under plant pots but even worse for them to just sit unused.

I wonder if I could sell them to someone looking to replace theirs 🤔

I'm not going to replace like for like it's too expensive. If we get a new dinner service I think I'll just get a smaller inexpensive one. It's not as if I'll ever appear on Come Dine With Me.

Just noticed the jam dishes and spoons, mustard pots and spoons and honey pots 🤣🤣🤣

Manchester(ish).

I have a good set of crockery, in plain white.

It's integrated with a cheap set from a supermarket.

Together they serve my needs (unintentional pun).

Although I'd like some deep noodle bowls to add to the collective, they need to be functional and aesthetically satisfying. The hunt continues.

Cutlery was a single set, it's bred plenty of ancillary branches of sharp knives, camping cutlery, random spoons from previous jobs.

That's it from the kitchen MB.

I don't think i've got a full set of anything these day but i have plenty of everything just not a full matching set and the cutlery draw is overflowing with knives, forks and spoons of all descriptions, all left over from previous sets and various acquired items.

I've got a china chicken on a plate at the back of one cupboard which i have not a clue about its intended use.

Probably that to cover the cheeses on a cheeseboard or perhaps to go over an egg basket

I think its a bit too big to be a cheese cover but not really big enough to fit a decent size cooked chicken underneath
