Great call. I liked them, then hated them, now like them again. Will update later today.

I was never a big fan of their music, or his voice particularly, until I went to a concert with my daughter a year or so ago. Amazing, one of the best concerts I've been to. So it doesn't amaze me anymore

Cardiacs is the answer. Total devotion or utter hatred.

The Fall as well.

The Smiths/Mossissey.

I've seen "Love The Smiths/Hate Morrissey" shirts. Hating Morrissey in recent years is much less divisive however.

Indifferent to his music, he's funny though in interviews. Great when he appeared on Top Gear years ago and savage on Twitter, X or whatever it calls itself now.

But surely the people who buy the units like the music? I don’t get them either but clearly lots of other people do.

Agreed. I get the impression that he doesn’t understand how he’s been so successful.

That's inevitable though. Their target audience isn't meant to be wide. I don't think they're playing to a 47 year old male as they are a 17 year old boy/girl. Marmite yes but knowingly so.
