"Has anyone used Terbinafine cream to treat a foot fungal rash ?
If so, how did it work for you and how long did it take to clear the red rash?
Just been given it yesterday "
You should take it for at least two weeks even if the rash clears before that or it just comes back. |

There are two sides to a fungal infection, there's the fungus and there's the infection itself. The fungus generally is a side effect of the infection and sometimes no matter what creams are used they only treat the fungus and not the root cause of the infection. Hence why you may think it has been treated correctly due to the fungus and itching disappearing, however the infection still remains and the fungus will keep reappearing. Quite a frustrating and vicious cycle. Lamasil is a good treatment (over the counter) however,if that doesn't work. May I suggest visiting a dermatologist, as a steroid cream might be needed for treating the infection. Also a bit like an illness, try and remember what, when and where when you first started experiencing issues. (Wet feet, damp conditions, old footwear, many others)This might narrow down the cause of the infection and may be treated a little more accurate,as apposed to hitting and missing with various creams. In the mean time try and keep your feet moisture free as much as possible, use foot powders or take shoes and socks of in house to let them breathe and dry, change socks a few time a day. All of which helps to prevent it worsening or even spreading across feet. Hope this helps. Good luck |
