What instantly makes you dry?
Mine are:
Oi oi
Hey
Your tit's look really good
Or anybody who has not read my profile or ignores my preference.
Call me old fashioned but I do like an introduction a bit about them and why they contacted. Is that too much?

It's not what they say that puts me off, it's what they ·don't· say which irks me.
Throw crass at me if you like but at least prefix it with "How do you do?" or "Charmed, I'm sure", "Salutations...'... |

"Meet now?
Shag?
If i meet you no one can know (happens more often than you would think) "
I've had the are you discrete question too.
I guess they're married or in a relationship which is an instant turn off.
Like who would you tell anyway? So odd. |

I agree, it's just common courtesy. |

Exactly the chances of me knowing the same people are slim and even if we did what benefit is there to tell everyone |

No but from a male perspective, imagine writing out a nice introductory message which you've put effort and time into and then it just gets deleted.
Would a man go up to a woman in a club and bend her ear about why he wants to talk to her and tell her all about himself?
Say _ello etc and offer to buy a drink. If she likes the look of you, she might say yes.
Same on here to a degree, does she like what she sees as in the pic enclosed?
I usually put hi, I hope you're well, mention something briefly from her profile to show I've read it and then leave it with if you like what you see and want to know more, reply back. Short and sweet.
Does it work for me? Does it fu-k?

Our personal favourites are:
"you want to be impregnated by Kurdish" - thanks for offer pal, not sure how the ethnicity would make it better or worse.
"Would love to cum inside you" - we are safe only and make it clear.
"Weird question but do you own a coat with a fur lined hood" - this one appears sporadically with a new account.

Yes because especially those whose English is not that great for whatever reason, look at your pics, see bb and cream pie pics and message you thinking that's what you're offering.
And there's plenty more who can read well but choose not to. |

I understand where you're coming from there.
However if guys contact me who have clearly ignored my preference then I will delete their messages.
I'm not sure why your particular messages are getting deleted but don't give up there's always someone out there who would love to get your message. |

Dear lord, do people really use those? And they say the art of conversation is dead. |

I think that this is the consistent theme on Fab - it’s highly unlikely that a polite, articulate and friendly opening message which indicates that the author has read the profile of the person he’s messaging (and includes a face pic) will illicit any form of response.
Not making excuses for those who don’t read your profile or observe your preferences of course. |

Not true. I was a single guy on here. A polite and considered message with a friendly nod to her profile landed me my amazing wife!
So it does work.

Yeah but people are also not obligated to reply to you just because you are nice or read the profile. Some people just aren't interested and that's completely fine too |

Thanks OP and to the guy messaging to say he met his future wife through messaging, well congratulations to you. I'm not looking for marriage but a reply would be nice |

Oh yes that’s absolutely true - there is no obligation to reply or acknowledge at all. I think a big mistake a lot of people make on Fab is coming in with a sense of entitlement and expectation - this is not online shopping and there are no guarantees that the person you’ve message will feel any inclination to reply. My point was that receiving a reply is an unlikely occurrence! |
