Boring answer but I think technology is better today. There's arguments to say it's too invasive but how good mobile phones are for keeping in touch with far off loved ones is invaluable to a lot of people.
Back in the day I preferred the price of stuff. Mr Whippy's were 99p, a Fredo was 10p, a can of was 50p.. The good ol' days! |

Better, definitely cars, so much more reliable and efficient now.
Worse, nightlife. Britain used to have an amazing network of nightclubs and music venues, so many now closed due to costs and nimby neighbours. |

Computer games. Miles better now. I do not miss the days of moving a little "x" around a screen. Retro-gamer I am most definitely not.

Shopping. Homogenised high streets these days, instead of small independent stores selling all manner of goods. The problem being ofc, I want the variety and price and convenience. So it has to be online regardless. |
