My perfect breakfast sandwich is

Look it's simple.
Bread sliced or bun.
Just bacon - butter and red sauce.
Bacon and fried egg - slightly less butter and red sauce.
Bacon, Egg and black pudding - slightly less butter - standard amount of red sauce.
Brown sauce, mint yoghurt, BBQ sauce, cheese... This is not appropriate and just will not do. |

The ever controversial Red Vs Brown debate. I once tried to find a solution to this by having both.....the debate goes on.
I know!! It was a fool's errand to try, but peace was the goal worth trying for.
A friend did throw in an interesting thought once when faced with this dilemma, he simply said neither, his preference was mustard.

I had black pudding sandwich once with bacon and apple sauce, it was mighty!
I don't mean a bacon sandwich with some black pudding, I mean a black pudding sandwich, there was so much!!!

If the bacon is good and cooked well it should need neither. If you are depending on a condiment to rescue a poor bacon butty then it has to be tomato (red sauce is not a thing in my family) |

If it's on a butty then bacon needs to be crispy, mushrooms added and then red sauce
If it's in a sandwich then bacon still needs to be crispy and then add two unpopped eggs (one in each half) so when you bite into the egg pops all over the bacon 🤤...no red or brown sauce needed |
