"I can't, I'm still reeling from losing to Galatasaray donkeys years ago "
Was that the UEFA cup final we lost on penalties…
I only ask because I was officially “steaming d*unk” in Copenhagen and don’t remember much of that game…..
Then there was the cup winners cup final in Copenhagen against Parma when I was officially “steaming d*unk” and they put plastic trumpets on our seats!! I still apologise to my friends for being “that person” … probably why I am happy to be “designated driver” in my old age! |

I do know what you mean though… I was in the parc de prince for the “nayim” goal… I turned around as soon as he hit it…. And then I hear a roar!
To this day I can I honestly say I’ve never seen the goal go in!
In my mind the 2006 champions league final ended after 75 minutes… amnesia
Ooh .. maybe we should call this ( or start a new thread) football games that crushed your soul!! |

"PSG next, gonna be a tough game
Glad the 1st leg is in Paris… 2nd leg at the emirates is going to be rocking!!!"
That’s incorrect. First leg will be in London. |

I just hope we don't get complacent, let's face it beating Madrid TWICE in a week in such a fashion is always going to make playing anyone else feel like a comedown.
Hopefully they'll approach PSG with the same level of prep and respect that they deserve.
With a place in the final at stake it's going to be near on impossible not to be psyched up .
Who do we all think is going to win the other semi? |

I think Arsenal v Barcelona has a nice ring to it considering what happened in 2006 !!! |

"I'm very nervous 😟"
I am looking forward to hearing what happens in the clock end….the psg drummers and the ashburton army are basically going to be side by side
I am just gutted they couldn’t get the massive Tifo done in time.. if they get through to the final it is going to be epic |

Well that was wank and what an awful atmosphere. Shit tifo, horrendous support, criminal officiating - How Hakimi didn’t get a 2nd yellow is beyond me.
Go into biggest game of the past 20 years with an injury ravaged squad after a shocking summer / Jan transfer window, that’s what you deserve. This summer is vital to recruit correctly for once.
Fortunate to only be 1 down but with TP5 to come back in and hopefully Trossard binned back to the bench can only cross fingers.
Oh and giving Nwaneri 2 minutes - Genius Mikel, well done.
This is a quiet train ride home! |

Psg were very good. But not sure of the strategy of letting them have the ball and not pressing worked well. Still it's somehow only one nil. But that anomaly against real aside, arsenal haven't looked like the best team in Europe. |

The shortfall in team depth, lack of two proper strikers have really shown since Christmas.
It's not that we lose too many games it's just we draw too many.
Last night was tough, PSG are a good side, you don't get to the semis if you are crap.
I still believe we can beat them and get to the final, they just lacked a certain something.
Anyone think we can coax Thierry Henry out of retirement just for one final season give him a horse or chariot to get up and down the pitch. |

I think the shortfalls are the same as you've had for best part of 2 seasons. But also not sure why he had rice so deep and psg worked harder than you guys with a d especially without the ball. First 20 mins you basically let the come to your house and play without any pressure. I can't see psg not scoring at home and that means you need to score 3... Against psg at theirs.? Half time and all that. Hope you get a better ref next match too... He was poor. Not that it changed the outcome at all. |

"Now the dust has settled. Would you say spurs have had a better season than us if they win the europa "
No. Not a better season. But they would have won a trophy. They’re 17th at the end of the day. Both of you need to sack your managers. Both teams have underperformed. |

Arteta easily has another season in him at least. The way I look at it is, he’s been very unlucky with injuries this season. We’ve had the whole of our right side out for most of the season which has been our most dominant football over the past seasons with Ben white, mø and saka.
We’ve also had no striker (which you could argue was our downfall from jan, but could clearly see arteta wanted a replacement for havertz and Jesus).
Also say Arteta was to be sacked. You have the likes of Madrid after him, and a lot of top clubs going in for him. I’m a silver member and I go to a lot of games, it’s clear he’s changed the whole mentality of the club.
This summer will be huge is regards to his job security. |

Madrid have just announced Alonso.
If you’re happy with winning nothing that’s fair enough. |

Arteta needs to go. He's a fraud. Arsenal won't win anything with him. Can't think of many players he's improved. Many of the injuries are down to him. Nobody other than spuds disliked arsenal before. Plenty do now. Time to let someone else have a go. |

They do have interesting set piece routines though..
Yes I know the first half of the season and last season they were effective and they were scoring from them but the last few months it's been like watching strictly.. |

Don't say that, if United win the Europa League I'm 100% saying it's the third season in a row United have had a better season than Arsenal 👀 |

You go so obviously closer to the change in culture and he is to be appreciated for that but every dog has its day and they have gone backwards this season l. Maybe edu leaving had a bigger impact than recognised? |

The warriors were great under Mark Jackson. He took them to the brink of beating the clippers. He had Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green and they played winning basketball. Hard to see him go. But Steve Kerr took over and they’re arguably one of the best dynasties in history. It’s hard when someone gets you to the line but they might not be the ones to take you over it. |

Did you not see the list of injuries this season? I would say finishing second is pretty decent considering we’ve had no strikers, not to mention getting into a semi final with no strikers. |

Why are Spurs and United so excited about winning Europa cup when half the decent sides went in Champions league this season leaving a poor standard in Europa and conference. They need to look at the Premier league positions |

Same story every year.
Man City won the league without a recognised striker. Chelsea won UCL with Havertz up top. If you want to win trophies then you can’t settle for the excuse of injuries every year. Injuries happen; unfortunately they’re a part of sport. But I think not making the league cup final, going out to United at home in the FA cup and also not being consistent enough at home isn’t ok. |

Someone has to accept responsibility for signing one striker in Arteta’s tenure. And someone has to accept responsibility for Martinelli being the starting LW for a team that supposedly wants to win things. |

I think playing Saka every minute of every game for 2 years might have contributed to his injury. If the squad is weak, recruitment is weak and coaching isn't developing players to be good enough the buck stops with? |
