Quite satisfying removing a splinter or waiting for to resurface and squeeze it out.
As a carpenter I've had a fair few over the years worst one about 35 years ago when unloading a lorry the guy handing me the beam slipped and it slipped out of my grasp leaving a splinter about 12 inches long basically under the skin of my middle finger to most of my palm and projecting about 6 inches out of the top of my finger.
Freshly tanilised sawn timber green and wet.
My hand was like a shish kebab 🍢.
My mate without hesitation pulled it straight out, bled ALOT, tetanus jab, dressings took weeks to heal lot's of swelling and pus.
Anyone else had any gnarly splinter s or impaling (non sexual) injuries??? |

Not me but my brother, think he was about 3 or 4, he was colouring in, heard our dads motorbike pull up put a pen in his mouth and ran out to greet him, tripped and impaled the pen in the roof of his mouth. |
