Heard someone called a "bocker" recently, one for the 80s mob I think...

What words or phrases did you used to call people, probably not yo their face that you haven't heard in yonks?

Not an insult, but I did see "chinny reckon" used the other day, which was a lovely bit of nostalgia!

A dope

A muppet

A numpty

Lots more you can't say now as they had more than one origin or use. Rightly retired.

Far too many used way back when that you wouldn't dream of saying or even posting on here, I meant yo say in the original post to keep them clean and sensible so not to offend.. hope everyone adheres to that

couple, us we him her.

Couldn't possibly repeat most of the insults used back in the 70's and 80's even 90's.

Even one of them would probably result in people under 50 head's going 🤯😳😳😲😲.

However one seemingly harmless insult we used a fair was simply calling someone an "Egg"

My grandfather used to say;

"A couple of sandwiches short of a picnic."

When he met my gran, she was a size 8, she then got up to a size 26. Grandad used to say,

"She used to be my dreamboat, but then her cargo shifted".

Got a lot of respect for the people shouting out “joey”. That made me laugh. Jesus! Kids are such evil bastards.

Spazzy and Joey were the go too insults of the day when I was at secondary school and Flora was one specifically for the girls, it was used to infer she’d shag anyone.

Some great retro insults from Scotland. What was “smell yer maw” even about?

See also “yer DA’s yer Ma and yer Ma’s yer Da!”

Tube

Balloon

Spoon

Inanimate objects repurposed as insults. Naeb’dy does it like Scotland.

Yes that was the big insult for every self respecting 14 yo where I lived.

Thinking back it was really mean in the lack of respect for JD.

But yeah kid's are horrible little shits and still very much are.

One of my favourite put-downs was;

Are you actually gay, or do you just like the look?

But this is such a retro insult these days pmsl….

When I first started cubs the Joey thing was going on and we had a kid there who had the same cerebral palsy and was in a wheelchair. It actually made him a bit of a star although we did get told off for building an Evil Knievel style ramp for him which didn’t end well.

Sexual intellectual when referring to a clever fucker.

Uncircumcised when referring to a complete dick.
