FFS why are so many men on this site calling them panties? Unfortunately for them (or fortunately for me as hopefully they won’t be in touch!) I wear knickers, always have always will. Panties is such a horrible word. |

Underpants.
So underpants can be shortened to undies but not panties?
I mean, I usually default to undies but I don't reel in horror from panties.
If I read it in a text I do hear it in 'teenage girl' voice but I'd not be grossed out by a woman using it for herself.
Maybe a touch of oddness seeing a man type it out in text or hearing it.
Same as calling our breasts/boobs your 'tits/titties/boobies', not a fan personally.
I think it depends on the tone and context along with the person using it. |

Same. Educated in American schools and lived in the US for 5 years so sorry… knickers is the disgusting word for me.
I actually don’t like panties either, hahaha! But I prefer it to knickers. |
