Help!! I need ideas/ inspiration for my dinner. I've got some minced beef I need to use tonight and am so bored with my go to recipes.

So I'm asking for anything but:

Bolognese

Chilli

Lasagne

Meatballs

Cottage pie

Please and thank you all. The winner gets an invite to dinner (that may or may not be fulfilled).😘

I did a philly cheese steak thing but without the steak once. It had mince and cream cheese and some other stuff, possible peppers, and linguine. Was rather nice. I believe it's a PoN recipe.

I'll be round for 7 yes?

Ankh-Morpork

Mince beef Cornish pasties

Sticky Ginger and garlic stir fry (I usually use minced pork but beef will work). Stir fry minced garlic ginger and beef in the pan. Add soy sauce, brown sugar and a little rice wine vinegar (any wine or cider vinegar will work), throw in half a mug of stock to make a sauce and a tsp of cornflour. Serve on rice with fresh chopped spring onions and a squirt of sirarcha.

Keema curry

Creamy pasta bake (start with a bolognese) add a tub of mascarpone to the bolognese, a little extra milk to loosen it. Mix in some cooked pasta, top with grated cheese and bake in the oven (usually I use leftovers for this but nothing stopping you making from scratch)

"Keema curry?"

Good shout, mince curry is unusual but very pleasant, and quite healthy- it's full of garden peas

Worksop

Sloppy Joe's.

Sweat red & green peppers, with onion in oil. Add mince.

Caramalise with brown sugar, add Worcester sauce, maybe even ketchup.

Grate in cheese for added flavour and unhealthiness.

Serve in a bun.

Not a burger.

Vegetarian option. Soya mince and Henderson's Relish, rather than Worcester.

.

Something a bit lighter and less cooking intensive - beef burritos. Nice rice, tortillas, lime, salady bits, sour cream and guacamole.

Firstly I know you said no to chilli BUT...

Do you ever use pop in your cooking? Pepsi max is a fantastic addition to chilli

Or do the inside of a mince n veg pie... Dice onions, swede, carrots, potatoes, mince n smoked bacon, beef stock cube, salt and black pepper, thyme

😋

Shish kofte, best with mince lamb but beef works. Liquidise some onion and a load of cumin seeds mix it with the meat with some ground black pepper, salt and a load of chopped parsley roll it out into sausages and fry them.

Why not make a nice Ramen 🍜

(Serves Two)

1 LTR Chicken stock add some coriander, chilli and garlic. Splash of soy sauce. Simmer for 10 minutes

Season and grill two chicken breast pieces (try adding some oriental seasoning too)

Cook your favourite noodles x2 (I prefer udon or medium egg noodles) put to one side when done.

Add red onion, bean sprouts and pak Choi to the stock and simmer for another 5 minutes

Put the noodles in a bowl, add sliced chicken breast and then cover with the stock. Garnish with a little more coriander!! Done ☑️

You can add more soy or maybe some Sriracha sauce as desired to taste.

Enjoy xx

Thanks for all the ideas guys. Having checked my cupboards it looks like bolognese again. Something everyone will eat... but some of these are making it to my list for next time so it isn't unappreciated

As a late entry, what about koftas. Add some Moroccan style seasoning, wrap them around skewers, or make them susage shaped and skewer them. Grill, serve in pitta bread with salad or rice and salad. Or, put them in wraps.

Do a pasta bake? Do the mince in a pan while having some pasta on the boil, add in some chopped chorizo to the mince, add some pasta sauce and add some water and leave it to reduce. Then add the beef mince and pasta to a dish and mix it all in, add a bit more water to it, top it with some cheese and whack it in the oven until melted
