Dubai & Nottingham

I’m interested in views from people who attend or arrange these in the last few years. Specifically couples not single people and not single man at all, I know they will often pay for the chance of sex.

I used to attend parties about six or seven years ago and I never once paid. I also arranged a couple in the (Cambridge) area with people from Tease 2. We never charged , people just brought a bottle. It was all couples and we sometimes would get a couple of extra well vetted single men to attend, because often the guys in couples struggle, but we wouldn’t charge them.

Been invited to a couple recently from here and it’s like more expensive than going to a nice hotel & a restaurant!

Is this normal nowadays or are these just a certain type of party- which I would call an event not a party?

Ankh-Morpork

I guess I would ask questions

Are they hiring a venue for the party? I could understand if that’s the case there being a fairly shared cost for anyone attending

Next Door

It depends on what is on offer at the party?

I've been to quite a few and have been charged or asked to donate food/wine

I think charging a small amount isn't unreasonable. It covers the additional washing and cleaning, covers for mattresses/floors etc.

And a few parties I've been too/hosted we've done a huge lot of foos and a good selection of soft drinks were included.

Central

If it's not equal sharing of costs and the host won't provide an itemisation of costs, then it's not being run as a non-commercial venture.

If it's friends, then there's full openness. If they're running a commercial venture, without license, insurance etc then it should not be allowed.
