Hello Fabbers, I need some travel advice.

I’m visiting Manchester soon and would love a hotel recommendation. It’s not what’s a good place for a meet advice, just a regular stay. I’m looking for city centre location, not crazily priced, so less than £150 per night, and something a bit more quirky or stylish than a Premier Inn, which I usually stay in but I fancy treating myself.

Thanks all.

I’ve stayed in Motel One which is nice, and very convenient for Piccadilly station

Whitwirth locke is a personal favorite, right in the city centre

Ankh-Morpork

Abel heywood or hotel Gotham for unique - not stayed there myself but have heard great reports from both

Rooomz does some nice loft style rooms but the hot water was hot and miss

Clayton is nice for its convenience but it’s very like every other chain hotel out there

North West

Velvet on Canal St is great but rooms can come in a little over that depending on the day.

Mid Cheshire

The Alan is my absolute favourite in Manchester, also good are Voco (prev. Hotel Brooklyn) Jury's Inn is tiny, The Lowry is stunning but in Salford technically, The Clayton is beautiful but quite loud with the window open.

Yes I've done most of them and my profile pictures probably show that too 😂😂 xx

North West mainly. Sometimes London/SouthWest

Gotham is gorgeous (but may be over that budget), The Alan is really nice, Midland, Moxy and Kimpton Clocktower is lovely (attached to Refuge that is good for food/drinks). Wilde apartments are a decent option and I’ve stayed in the Roomz apartments at the old Corn Exchange before and they were really good.

The Ains cow hotel has always been good when I stay there. Nice decor and close to many things.

I would like to spend Saturday 21st June in Manchester after the Pulp concert. The Ainscow is £128, The Clayton £173.61 and Premier Inn £182. I have decided to get a coach home instead.

I regularly stay at motel one near Piccadilly station, it's lovely and handy for everything
