what is the worst you have had or have used???
For me my worst try was in my twenty's Sat at a bar with mates some woman walked over and ran her fingers through my mates hair and asked where he'd been all her life? could have cried when he replied don't think I was alive the first 50 of them love.. Erm ok. Nobody really comes out of that well.
I was with my adult daughter once and she introduced me to a male friend of hers. After creepily holding the handshake too long while looking into my eyes he asked if I was her sister . 🤷♀️. I deadpan replied "yes" then we all laughed politely and went our separate ways. |

Nothing wrong with that at all. If he didn’t invite the fingers through his hair and she wasn’t exactly a hottie, then why should he not!

I agree with that to an extent except the 'wasn't exactly a hottie', that implies that it's ok for good looking people to touch without asking.
Women shouldn't touch men without consent any more than men should. |

Once trying to chat up a hot Scottish lass, I asked her to feel my shirt, she did. I then asked
"Do you know what material that is?"
She replied no
I said "I said thats boyfriend material!" I threw my head back and laughed out loud.
Then looked back at her. All that was missing from the silence was a tumble blowing in the wind

Don’t recall ever using them…….. although once many moons ago pre Smart phones a lady from a group of ladies approached me at the bar and said “ok when I come up to the bar the get my next drink I want you to hit me with a killer chat up line” flirting winked and walked back to her group…
I went blank… I had nothing… asked my mate… he had nothing… side eyed her back….. panicked, smiled my drink and left 🤣

It wasn't so much what I said, it was who I said it to...
I was on a boat out Brixham way with my grown up daughter, when a tasty man got on with his mate. We shuffled up a bit to make space for one of them, the other jokingly sat on his mate's lap.
I made some feeble attempts to chat him up, including telling him his shirt was very nice. But I wasn't really getting anywhere, although he chatting back and asked if we were sisters.
He went inside to check on his mate who had gone in as he was a feeling sea sick and I remarked to my daughter that he was rather nice. She fell about laughing and said "Mother he's gay, he's with his boyfriend .. I felt such a plonker...xx
