Interesting one. I’ve definitely found out more about myself and felt able to unmask on here. I’ve found friends and made sexual connections. I’m not sure about a community, though. Folk are here for such a variety of reasons I don’t think it’s that cohesive.

I've made some good acquaintances from the forums.
I'm not really good at socialising and community in my private life.
I tend to stick to my own company.
On here, I can chat without making commitments or leave my house until I want to. |

Its a strange thing as community to one person isn't the same as it is to the next.
I've said on other posts that individuals on here got me through some of the hardest weeks of my life, just by chatting on the forums and a few messages checking up on me. That to me is a community. |

I feel quite close to some though only met very few. For me it allows me to be me and I know one or two people genuinely care for me as I do for quite a few myself. Some do fake it but easy to eventually spot that. I think is great when people, especially those struggling, can find a bit of solace even in a pretty much anonymous way as is on here. There are people that I would never want anything to do with but then again there are plenty irl too. I personally have enjoyed most of my time here except a little while ago that I allowed a couple of nasty people to get to me. I learned to ignore that. Is just an online social, you click with some, just not everyone. Polite and friendly always does it for me though  |
