There's been some discussion of VPN use in the context of the Online Safety Bill and the requirement in that to disclose more personal info as part of the age verification process. Was just wondering how many people are already using a VPN and if so which one? |

For websites that I want to access and can't, because of (Blocked) ISP issues: Currently using Duck Duck.
I used to use Tor Browser...but found that even using it in conjunction with Duck Duck. A website - I'm currently banned from again. - Managed to block me. No idea how. |

We both use Turbo VPN on our phones.
When doing age verification or any other personal information informs just check that the website is https /SSL, this is a browser basedVPN. They all should be using SSL. |

I work in IT, and have been for decades. I've only ever used VPN to connect to my employer's intranet and secure data repositories.
I think I'm the only one on this site who doesn't use it for anything else. Seems to be 'en vogue' on here. |

That's the one I use too. It's paid for but is easy to use. I've not tried free ones though. |

People are worried unnecessarily. There’s a few occasions where you do need them like for example using WhatsApp for calls while in the UAE because WhatsApp ports are blocked by the authorities as they don’t want to disadvantage the telecoms industry. Other than that, it’s mostly unnecessary other than connecting to your home computer or office et cetera over the public Internet |
