Hello and welcome to my football thread, continue here, it is for all leagues and what team do you support and are they playing today? I support man city and we will play against newcastle and I reckon that we will win with 2-1 |

My team is Newcastle, and we're playing Man City away. Which is a game we always lose, and we've got loads of injuries and had a long mid week European away trip, while City have had a week off, fewer injuries and a much stronger squad to start with. Despite all that I am feeling positive that we'll scrape something out of the game. |

Im a Villa fan (sotc) we are playing very under par at the moment but hopefully when we get our captain back Super John we will improve and win the Europa League and finish around 4th. UTV |

Derby home to Blackburn, Eustaces current team against his previous, although it could get confusing with some of the players moving with him. Unfortunately for Derby, it would have been much better if they’d stayed at Blackburn, as Derby seem to have gone downhill since the likes of Travis and Szmodics have been in the squad.
Let’s hope Blackburn don’t score first as we all know that rules out a Derby win. |

Well the Burnley vs Brentford game seems like a real ding dang do.
Goals galore.
Whilst people seem to be focusing on the possibilities of Spurs going down it seems unlikely but there’s a real possibility the West Ham could.
For Spurs and west ham to drop it would mean Burnley and Forest have an amazing end of season. |

The Cockney Reds are at home to Crystal Palace. I fancy a 2-0 win which would take us up to 3rd. We will be 10 points behind Arsenal with 10 games to go.I don’t expect us to catch Arsenal or Man City but dreams cost nothing. |

If you are a spurs fan I have 2 stats for you
1) 11 games remaining.. if they got the same results as they did last year.. they would only get another 3 points
2) with the defeat at Fulham, this is the earliest ever st.totteringham day.. match 1st!!!
It’s happened again……… |

Unfortunately as much as I'd love to see spurs go down it would require west ham or Burnley to have an amazing run into the end of season. |

About a month ago one of my Tottenham work colleagues said his worst fears are that Arsenal win the Premier League and Spurs get relegated. l said to him that I still think Man City will reel Arsenal in. Another former Tottenham work colleague said we will have the best stadium in the Championship. I said to him that honour will be West Ham’s. I still think Man City can win the Premier League but not so sure about Spurs staying up. |

"Is it really bad that I'm rooting for West Ham and Forest.
Thinking more about putting spurs down rather than The Arsenal getting more points.
Yes I'm THAT petty. "
Got almost everything we wanted… that last ditch kick off the line by forest could be crucial at both ends of the table
It’s going to be squeaky time at the spurs tomorrow knowing they are only 1pt off relegation |

They are lucky to be only 2 down… that was literally the first time I’ve seen a goal ruled out a nose being offside! |

"Why do people keep hiring Frank Lampard.
(It's ours to throw away)" . I think because he is part of the so called golden generation has helped him find work as a manager. He got Derby to the playoffs and Chelsea to a FA cup final. Whilst these may not be the best credentials they are good credentials for getting a job in the Championship with a objective to get the club into the Premier League which Coventry should achieve this season as Champions. |

Well that was quite an old firm game, totally dominated by Rangers but their failure to get past the Celtic defence and goalie and their ineptness in front of goal cost them dear, So a smash and grab at Ibrox- biggest heist of the season and Celtic go on to the semi final.

Max dowman is a filthy beast.. that is all!

What an ending to the game. Ground was rocking. As soon as Dowman came on it just felt something magical was going to occur. Little did the world know just how special it was.
One of those ‘I was there’ moments.
Not getting excited just yet. More twists and turns to come.

The Cockney Reds are at home to Aston Villa. I fancy us to win 2-1 to maintain 3rd place and also 7 points behind Man City. With 7 games to go and Man City having a packed fixture list and inconsistent performances maybe just maybe 2nd is on. |

Although a big ask it could happen especially if Man City were to lose their next Premier League game.Yeah I can see both Forest & Liverpool winning which will put Tottenham further in the relegation mire. Although they have a 2-3 point cushion and playing reasonably well Leeds could go into the final 2-3 games needing to get a result. |

Football polooza today….
Do you realise how much fear the police have to demand a football starts before opening time on a Sunday… even old firm games start at 12.30/12.45!
Then the relegation piss break on at 2..
And then the main event at 4.30!

B) because of the fixture quirky of the interlull followed by the fa cup… imagine losing this game and then not having another game for 3 weeks!!!

Both Man City & Arsenal played their cup keepers. Trafford made a triple save in the first half and justified the manager faith. Arrizabalaga was at fault for the 2nd goal. With hindsight should Arsenal have played Raya or would it have not made much difference as it seemed Arsenal just had a bad day at the office all over the pitch. |

Yeah as soon as we fluffed the first chance early doors knew it wasn't going to be our day, to be fair to city I think they deserved it and they do play well.
To use a golfing analogy we didn't get the rub of the green.

I wish football did kick off at 3pm but never does anymore. Nobody gives a fuck about March going fans anymore. 5.15 at Wembley for an fa cup semi final on a Saturday is a complete joke. Everything is about how much revenue can be made. Sadly it’s not longer a sport. |

Another terrible performance - last few weeks it's as if they've forgotten how to play any football.
I can't quite believe it, but today tells me we are likely to finish 2nd again. I genuinely don't know what the issue is, and Arteta has brought us on leaps and bounds, but I don't know why we can't close seasons out. Let's hope Bournemouth (who were great today) can take points off City too when they play! |

Since Christmas I have been saying to my Arsenal family , friends , work colleagues that Man City will reel you in. I see no reason to change my mind. Bournemouth, Chelsea and Aston Villa could all take points of Man City but with Man City front 4 of Haaland , Doku , Semenyo , Cherki I think they will have too much firepower for everyone. Another domestic treble is on for Man City. |

Great day for Leeds…. Win and watch their ex player score the equaliser for Brighton against spurs
This is huge for spurs… I am not at the feeling sorry for spurs stage, but watching their players after the equaliser!
If forest do their job against Burnley tomorrow.. and West Ham get something on Monday night… ooooh shit! |

I really didn't think City had it in them this season to make the most of any Arsenal slip-ups but they're really coming good in the business end. I really don't see City slipping up from here and I even if they do, I can't see Arsenal having a perfect finish to the season. They look creatively shot and bankrupt of ideas and I really feel like that was a body shot to their title ambitions. |

If they do finish the season by winning absolutely nothing, which I think is quite likely, will that signal the end for Arteta? From an outsider’s perspective I don’t rate him but maybe Arsenal fans have a different point of view. |

Yeah I do have a different point of view.
Keep him .
Since he's been in charge we have been challenging consistently and I think we have just been unfortunate to be up against city who have been dominating the league for years, Liverpool and Chelsea aside.
But what's the option if he goes then what?
The merry-go-round of managers who are not up to the task and end up like united, Chelsea, spurs who have had 30 plus managers combined in the last ten years!!!
Naaa I'd rather have consistency and being able to challenge year upon year rather than yoyoing up and down.
He's Arsenal through and through and I have no doubt that he will bring us success 👍 |

I find it annoying enough that 2 Manchester clubs have claimed the monikers of 'City' and 'United' when there are plenty of other clubs that use the terms. It's even more of a let-down when fans of other clubs enable it. |

Unless Pep , Ancelotti possibly Enrique are available I would stick with Arteta. The Premier League is so tough to win. Success and failure are a fine line in football. Also as I said in an earlier comment the fire power of Man City front four of Haaland , Doku , Cherki and Semenyo could lead them to a domestic treble. On current form who of Arsenal current front four could you pick ahead of them. |

I really want to agree with this, and while he's brought you on leaps and bounds, he's been in a title race for the last 4 years without getting you over the line. It's a results business and eventually you have to win something rather than being happy with always competing. It could always go to pot with a new manager, or maybe some fresh ideas could inject the squad with more life to go that step further. |

Lots of goals in the league, my team man city won against arsenal with 2-1, in other news, what good news it was for bromley, they have been promoted to league one for the first time in their history with two games of the season to spare, here is an interesting thing, it took bromley 132 years to reach the football league and it have taken just two for them to get from league two to league one too |
