Hmmm….So much positivity on here recently….
I can’t have that!
Three quick questions to rebalance the scales therefore:
1. Have you ever been stuck in a lift and if so, for how long were you entrapped and miserable?
2. How many times have you broken down in a car and what was the longest time you’ve waited on the road side in abject misery?
3. I previously gave Doctor Faustus a good deal in exchange for his mortal soul but due to inflation, I can only offer a packet of Walkers crisps.
So….are you willing to exchange? 😜 |

1. Yes! About 30 minutes. We were d*unk, we had a wonderful time pretending to reenact a 90s boyband video with all the mirrors. Sorry!
2. Twice. Longest was maybe 4 hours and it was -4 and 11pm. 0/10. Do not recommend.

1. Never, but I have been stuck on a ride at Legoland for about half an hour
2. Never at the roadside but I have had a car not start when I'd been to the Metrocentre shopping mall. I waited about an hour and a half but they told me it would be 2 hours so I went back in and got a coffee and a KFC

2. Loads of times - I own an old VW camper. Longest wait was about three days in Alaska. The abject misery only started about two days in though.

2. Flat battery outside my house, waited for about 90 min for someone to turn up with a new battery.
Not sure if this counts, as not really a break down, but I got hit by another car on a motorway and was pushed into the central reservation. Had to wait about 30 minutes - waiting in the bit between the two fast lanes rather than in the car - for the police to turn up and stop the traffic so the car could be recovered.
3. If it were McCoys ridge cut salt & vinegar I'd give it serious consideration. |

Ahhh….I do so love draining batteries inexplicably flat and the resulting unhappiness to humans it causes 😈😜
I’m checking my cupboard now….no McCoys sadly but I’ve just found a slightly out of date (by 2 years) packet of ginger-nuts. They’ll be lovely and soft by now 😁 |

I’ve always wondered why we don’t have those lift hatches here like they do in the US?
Is it because they suspect folks here might opt to pop out the top for a sneaky cigarette or something? 🤔
