Do you have an exception to the rule thing when it comes to fab?

What I mean is do you have an exception to the rule type thing going on, if someone doesn't fit your preferred preference or type. But you like the person anyway and so are willing to bypass this. Or do you stick to your preferred type regardless of whether or not you get on with said person? |

I have a preferred personality type, physically I just have to find them attractive. That varies from dark haired and tattooed to dark haired and less tattoos. |

Yes. Most (not all) of my rules are preferences, and preferences can be overridden by other redeeming features.
Of course, I'm only comfortable saying this because my filters are closed. "I know I'm not what you're looking for, but I have all these redeeming features: source, trust me bro" doesn't cut it. I need to observe the redeeming features myself, and only I can tell if it's worth making an exception. |

I don't have an aesthetic type. Generally prefer men older than me, there's one man younger than me (by a couple of months) who I find attractive - guess he's an exception to that!
For the most part it's more about personality traits and the people I like have those. Different levels obviously. I'm not sure I'd be attracted to someone if they didn't. |

I'd say any preference or type is just a starting off point.
Anytime I thought something in absolutes (I don't like tall men/men over a certain age are less attractive to me) and somehow life throws people who go against that type at me to make me question those things.  |

I'm rigid in that I want both personality and physical attraction to mesh. If I'm not feeling either I won't break from that. I am open that a personality may enhance the physical of somebody I'm somewhat attracted to, somebody I'd maybe not consider otherwise but the personality pulls me in.
But I'd never have a personality make feel attracted to somebody I know I don't find appealing at all go whatever reason. And I'd never get with somebody that is exactly my physical type preference if I can't stand them as a personality/person.
I think I answers the question...
Meh, short version is no but I'm open to being surprised by what I may feel is unconventional for my tastes. |

I like to think my preferences are pretty fluid in terms of what I look for in someone as a lot can be based on facial attraction. There may be personality traits or aspects I may not find attractive but if that's outweighed by what I like about them, then it shouldn't be an issue. |

I have a type in attracted to more than others but this is based on personality. I wouldn’t say I make exceptions because if we don’t get on then we are just wasting each others time.
I understand that the personality I’m attracted to has a sliding scale as well |

Makes things more interesting. And I like being able to question past thinking or preferences and adapt. I need life to keep me on my toes. As long as she gives me a fucking break every now and again  |

I don't really have a type or rule. Like others have said, I have preferences but I'm still open minded to people who sit outside of them if I am attracted to them and we have chemistry. I've fancied people from a wide spectrum of looks and personality.
Just not being a dickhead is probably my only "rule". |

Flexible when it comes to someone’s appearance, absolutely do not budge when it comes to personality or behaviour.
Like a lot of people, I have my preferences when it comes to body type etc. but I wouldn’t rule someone out if they’re not that & we get along.
Most important thing is that they’re present, consistent, engaging and reciprocate the energy I put out towards them. |

Fab meets have to meet certain criteria. There isn't enough time to find out if I like them in any other way.

Politics/ideology is inflexible for me, since I don't ever find someone attractive based just on looks. I have to like and respect them, too. Some intelligence, too. And just a personal preference, but I'm tediously heterosexual, so no one with a penis works for me.
Other than that, they are preferences, not rigid requirements. And, as Rose Tinted says, I am lucky in that people often tell me I am their exception.

I find that having exceptions are in themselves part of my rule because I don't really do well when it comes to rigidity in what I'm looking for. My preferences have always been 'guiding principles' and nothing more.
However, I refuse to be an exception for others if they are looking to 'try' someone (me) who isn't Caucasian. |

Amanda prefers a lot older than her but her first (and only) meet the guy was only 32 so quite a bit younger than she goes for. He still gave her a great time. |

It is hard to have exceptions especially if someone doesn't fit what you're after. Regardless or whether you get along with the person. |

Every so often I alternate between Africans and West Indians!
As long as the latter aren't smokers. I find that Africans are more likely to be drinkers than smokers and both groups shag equally enthusiastically! |
