I remember making out in a tent in the middle of a wood during my uni sandwich year, when I was working for the forestry people. It was relatively safe (not like being under an isolated tree) but she screamed every time it thundered, which made things interesting. |

"I'll be out in my swimming trunks roll on thunderstorm (smite me oh mighty smiter 🤣🤣) "
You’ll regret saying that when you get smited.
Unless smiting is now some sex thing in which you might not. This could go either way really. |

"Still absolutely roasting in Bristol.
We had warnings of potential thunderstorms later... Right now it seems very unlikely
I'm hearing the thunder in Kingswood, no rain yet though "
Shit... I'm up by Cribbs and it hasn't got here yet |

"My mum told me if you count the seconds between the lightning and the thunder clap, that is how many miles away the storm is. Don't know if that's true or not."
You have to divide by 5 to get the distance in miles, or by 3 to get the distance in km. Sound travels approx 340 metres per second but light arrives virtually instantaneously. |
