I think I'm getting too old

I've spent two months getting my race car ready for Sunday, now the weather has probably postponed or at least wasted the track for the day.

Knowing that the old firm match and the Carling cup final are both live on the telly on Sunday is it wrong I'm not more disappointed.

If the sun is splitting the streets on Sunday morning then I'll miss the football, if its wet or snowing then I'll miss the race.

In the past when I was young I remember laying on the ground ( 4 " of snow) while the remnants of my body heat melted the snow, turned it into water which then proceeded to run down inside my boiler suit and gather in my boots just to do some last minute adjustments to my car.

Now if its a bit drizzly on Sunday I'll probably watch the football.

Ohhhhhhh no, pass me my pipe N slippers

I know just how you feel matey. I've spent many a weekend lying on my back under my car, or on my knees beside my motorbike, but these days I just cant be arsed.

I'd rather sit in the warm, with a cuppa or a pint, and the only thing I ride these days, are other blokes wives , and my lovely Kate of course.

i preferd to thrash through Kielder

on the gravel with bloody big pine trees just yards away and the odd big rock at the side of the track tucked in the ditch waiting to rip your wheel off

oh happy days

Woohoo, motor sports, vroom vroom, prefer the full contact variety though

Has to be better than watching rangers wrap up the league
