It seems that the middle classes are up in arms over Waitrose's free tea or coffee promotion. It is "attracting the wrong type of customers."

It's a bloody supermarket!

I don't think it's a good idea but mostly from a safety point of _iew. I don't like the idea of people walking around the supermarket with a hot drink.

I would have thought that Waitrose launching their "essentials" range of value products, which they began some time ago, would be more likely the cause of the dreaded "scum" influx.

I go there occasionally for a treat. Then I am the sort of person the Daily Heil rails against.
