Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I've just got home to find a box of flowers left on my doorstep.

I don't know who they are from as the card just has my first name and says "to a Fab woman x".

I don't remember putting in an order and none of my family or friends are claiming them so it has to be a Fab person who knows my address.

Should I send a message to everyone I have had to my home or wait and see who admits to sending them?

It's driving me nuts. Not that many current Fab people know my address but some I am no longer in touch with know it from when I was in a couple. For them to be sent today as well.

Come out, come out, whoever you are.

"That's so sweet! Wait and see? Nice surprise."

I would have been happy with a text but they are beautiful purple and white things. I don't know what they are called but the box is from M&S. Each stem had a little phial of water to keep them fresh. My vase isn't doing the stems justice but the green of the vase and the purple of the flowers look fantastic.

It's really annoying because everyone has a particular way of phrasing things or referring to me and this is so non-specific. I'm not being called Sweetie, Baby Cat, Big Nose or any of the other endearments people use for me.

I want to send a thank you.

He says that he couldn't afford a stem for each year and there isn't a box big enough as I'm really old now. The shape of the flowers reminded him of my curly hair.

They appear to be real. The blooms that were out when the flowers arrived have faded, some have gone crispy and just a few have fallen off.

The buds that have opened are as bright and vibrant as when the flowers arrived.

I hope Diamonds isn't right and they will come into my room and strangle me in my sleep.

I only realised it was five weeks as I saw the person who sent them and commented that the flowers were still going.
